OVERVIEW

Munnar, nestled at 1,600 metres in the Western Ghats of Kerala, is a landscape of rolling tea estates, mist-draped mountains, and cascading waterfalls. Once the summer retreat of the British Raj's planters, Munnar today combines its colonial heritage with the natural grandeur of the highest tea-growing region in India. The journey from Kochi through Thekkady's spice gardens and wildlife reserve to Munnar's heights reveals the extraordinary ecological richness of Kerala's hill country.
