Itinerary
DAY-WISE ITINERARY
Arrive in Amritsar; check in to hotel. Visit Jallianwala Bagh — solemn memorial of the 1919 massacre. Continue to Golden Temple for afternoon visit — experience the langar, kirtan, and sacred Sarovar. Late afternoon: drive to Wagah Border (28 km) for the Beating Retreat ceremony at sunset. Return to Amritsar for dinner — famous Amritsari kulcha, fish tikka, and lassi await. Overnight in Amritsar.
Rise before dawn; arrive Golden Temple by 04:30 AM for the Palki Sahib ceremony — the Guru Granth Sahib carried in a golden palanquin to the main Harmandir Sahib. Breakfast at the langar. Morning: heritage walk through walled city. Visit Gobindgarh Fort and its museum. Depart for airport or onward journey by noon.
