Itinerary
DAY-WISE ITINERARY
Depart Delhi at 05:30 AM for the 240 km drive to Rishikesh (4.5 hours). Safety briefing before suiting up with helmets, life jackets, and paddles. White-water rafting from Shivpuri to Rishikesh (16 km) through Grade III–IV rapids: Roller Coaster, Golf Course, Club House, and the Wall. Midway rest stops for beach relaxation and cliff jumping. After the 2–3 hour rafting experience, riverside lunch. Optional: bungee jumping at Jumpin Heights (India's highest certified bungee, 83 m), giant swing, or flying fox. Depart ~04:30 PM, arriving Delhi ~09:30 PM.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

September to November is best — post-monsoon waters are high and rapids most exciting. February to May also excellent. Ganges is closed to rafting during monsoon (June–August).

THINGS TO CARRY

  • Quick-dry clothing (avoid jeans — very heavy when wet)
  • Sports sandals or footwear that can get wet
  • Change of clothes and towel

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Rafting is suitable for non-swimmers; life jackets are mandatory and guides are certified.
  • Medical fitness required; those with heart conditions, back injuries, or pregnancy should not participate.
  • Bungee jumping: minimum 40 kg, maximum 120 kg.
  • GoPro rental available for rafting — underwater photos make amazing memories.
  • Leave phones and wallets in the vehicle or use waterproof pouches.

Yes. The Shivpuri to Rishikesh stretch is popular for beginners. Guides are trained, equipment is certified, safety kayakers accompany every raft.

The 16 km stretch from Shivpuri to Rishikesh — great mix of Grade III–IV rapids and calmer scenic sections.

Jumpin Heights operates India's only BSI-certified bungee platform with international safety standards.

Absolutely. Life jackets are mandatory; swimming ability is not required.

Typically 14 years; parental consent required for minors under 18.

Available September to May. Suspended during monsoon (June–August) due to dangerously high water levels.
